Ебать вас нахуй! Шитмат круче бога -- 81.30.216.34, 24 October 2005

My Russian's a bit rusty, but I approximate that to: "Fuck you! Shitmat is harder than God." --taras 11:12, 29 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Second and third paragraph[edit]

The first section is ok, but the second and third seem a bit "gushing". Gonna have a think about this one. Big in albania 18:17, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

historic error[edit]

shitmat did not start wrong music (the night). 3 other ppl, including scotch egg, started it. he didn't play at the first few. it wasn't started as a breakcore night. it was originally a fair bit broader than that, ie: not just obsessed with dance music.

- This is why it says "Shitmat in collaboration with other brighton based artists". I'm afraid Shitmat and Scotch Egg are the only 2 people notable enough to mention in the article and the Wrong Music article itself was deleted on account of excessive self promotion by people associated with the label. If you seriously think that there is some sort of error that needs correcting here then speak your mind, though if you feel that strongly about it, register an account first. --Big in albania 00:40, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-to clarify; "Shitmat" was not one of those 1st 3 ppl who started the night. i think the label is down to him though... if i felt 'strongly' about it, maybe i would register, but i'm just offering the facts as a 1st hand witness. i'm not quite sure what u mean by "speak your mind"... for the record, "Chezny Hawks/Ebola", "Roger Species" and "Scotch Egg" started wrong music and perhaps deserve recognition for their efforts and managing to get the night going without any signed artists involved, or maybe they don't, and i'm sure they couldn't care less, anyway. ...and btw the night's being going since 2003!... check this link for the actual story of wrongmusic: wrongspace and don't believe anything u read on wiki, ever. - This unsigned comment was left by User:81.103.230.235

-Wording has been changed to put more emphasis on the label. Just to clarify a couple of points:

  • I have read the myspace biog - it's where i got the info from originally!
  • Scotch Egg has his own article, which i believe refers to him as a founder of Wrong.
  • Ebola had his page deleted on the grounds of non-notability.
  • Roger Species is unlikely to get a page for similar reasons.
  • Wrong music had it's own page deleted for excessive advertisement. The Shitmat page seemed like a worthy place for a small mention, but you will NOT get a full length passage about the club or label. It just isn't famous enough. I entirely agree that if you want the full story you should visit the Wrong website but i am sorry to say that this article is not a promotional tool for Wrong and if it becomes that way i would sooner see the Wrong paragraph deleted than the whole page.

Exactly what you mean by "don't believe anything u read on wiki, ever" i don't know - this isn't some conspiracy to take credit away from anyone involved in Wrong, it was just a way of giving them a small mention on wiki which i felt they were notable enough to deserve. yes, the text is now more factually accurate, previously it was misleading. if you knew the actual history already, it didn't show... btw: perhaps you are not aware but mr Ebola is plenty notable, for such a scene anyway i.e. there is more to music than buying records; Live Events also occur, festivals, raves, club nights, that's where the fun happens. it's not really a scene led by record sales, is it?... and also, Roger Species is worthy of mention in that he was actually a founder of, and strong contributor to Wrong Music. but of course, once you focus only on the record label (an amusing side-project) that changes things... what i meant by not believing wiki's is that information presented on them has no guarantee of credibility, anyone can write any old nonsense, and there is paltry quality control... finally, i am not involved in the promotion of any wrong-music related projects, as i said, i'm just a first-hand witness... "It just isn't famous enough." LOL go write about britney.81.103.230.235 18:29, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it's not a scene led by record sales, but WP:NN applies whether you like it or not. LOL Go write about Roger Species and see how it takes before the page gets deleted. Big in albania 10:56, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea why the notability of the label wasn't more strongly defended. Having the info relating to the Wrong Music label in the Shitmat page makes no sense. How do we get the Wrong Music page reinstated, accepting that sources should be provided for all content, in order to prevent promotion? Meio (talk) 17:07, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Countryside Alliance Crew[edit]

I'm surprised no mention has been made of Henry's recent guise as "Farmer Shitmat" leading this crew of tweed-clad agricultural breakcore artists. --Mashcore 02:04, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

There was a notability query on the main page, I have fixed this - at least three of his albums are on Planet Mu which is a notable label, which is a criterion according to Wikipedia:Notability_(music). --mcld (talk) 12:06, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This has been queried again (6th January 2010). Again, the artist has a notable discography. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.144.227.24 (talk) 22:21, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take that as the prod being contested, and have removed the template. Any idea how the verifiability issue can be addressed? Any magazine reviews, interviews or features? If the material can't be cited, it hardly matters if he passes the notability guideline or not. Thanks, Marasmusine (talk) 23:16, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He was featured in Computer Music magazine, and had a 'masterclass' video on their coverdisc, a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I haven't a clue which issue it was. Anyone?.. If it helps, he's also referenced in the title of this NME article: http://www.nme.com/blog/index.php?blog=120&p=3819&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 --taras (talk) 21:53, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Feb 2007 is the issue with his tutorial. Could be useful for verifiability, although coverage for notability needs to "address the subject directly in detail". Can you remember if there was an interview or a biography in that issue? Marasmusine (talk) 00:37, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

about his artist bio on planet mu website[edit]

It's interesting that he's releasing a new album in 2028 called “Bumbaclot Cream Egg” ...and I'm AlwaysOutnumberedNeverOutgunned (talk) 16:54, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life[edit]

Hi guys,

I feel like we should include an entry under personal life for his interest in collecting crisp packets, as evidenced by: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euxhBuQl7Zg Djangofandango (talk) 14:36, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
