[edit]

Hello moderator,

I created this page yesterday and it was deleted -- I am not sure why. I re-created it today, expanded to include an alternated definition and another reference. Now it is being flagged as a hoax?!

The article is accurate, as these are the two prominent definitions of the term shmeat, which is growing in usage. Before yesterday, a search for "shmeat" re-directed to "meat analogue" which is completely erroneous, and does not reflect the definitions or usage of the term.

If this article does not meet Wikipedia standards, please let me know what I can do to improve it -- but please keep in mind that is a significant improvement over what was there previously -- an erroneous re-direct.

Thank you,

Andrey --- My edits to this article are continually being undone without explanation, discussion, or any apparent research being done. Redirecting "shmeat" to "meat analogue" is INCORRECT -- it is not the definition of this word. Please research it and do not re-instate this incorrect re-direct. This word has two common definitions, and I listed them both in the article, with references. I do not understand why it keeps being simply deleted without any justification or recourse. Is this the wikipedia way?

Fair enough, I will add more sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andreyman (talkcontribs) 23:50, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There are no more sources. The term is made up, the article an invention. This is the closest I came in a quick search, making this article ridiculous. Speedy delete, please. Binksternet (talk) 02:38, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Although I am in support of speedy deleting this as a hoax, I just wanted to point out that Amatulic (talk · contribs) has several more sources about this on his talk page.--v/r - TP 14:52, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
