Unencyclopedic tone concerns
[edit]Some parts of this article seem to promote tourism in the area or to praise the town ("Website about this beautiful village", "Siġġiewi has a lot to offer to the hundreds of tourists who visit each year.") which is outside the scope of an encyclopedia. I've therefore added the tone template so we can bring the style more in line with Wikipedia standards. LaPrecieuse (talk) 21:26, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- This has been ignored for a long time. I hope it's better now.--Zahnradzacken (talk) 23:10, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
- How on earth could that be conceived as vandalism?--Zahnradzacken (talk) 14:51, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Section on St Nicholas
[edit]This article has a 13K+ word section on St Nicholas the content of which would be better placed in the article St Nicholas, where it is not included already, in terms of WP:SPLIT. Please consider.

- I agree that it isn't necessary to include it here (the section above already covers his relevance to the town), but I'm not at all sure the Saint Nicholas article would benefit from it very much either. All 13K of it is unsourced, and basically consists of one person's opinionated rewrite of his life story as told in the main article plus various legends, most of which are already better described in the main article (where Siġġiewi is also mentioned). I would be tempted just to completely remove it. Alzarian16 (talk) 20:29, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
