Flooded Mine ride

[edit]

Just to let everyone know, the reason that I changed the Flooded Mine from The Great American Shootout back to the Flooded Mine is because the Silver Dollar City website lists the ride as being called the Flooded Mine. [1] --Station Attendant 23:36, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The name was officially changed back to the Flooded Mine by Silver Dollar City. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.3.55.2 (talk) 18:49, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Show?

[edit]

My family and I were a part of some show at SDC quite a number of years ago. It related to Nickelodeon, somehow. I was wondering if someone could identify which show it was. I presume it was something there, and now a one-summer / temporary thing. Mr. College (talk) 05:43, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah Silver Dollar city is no longer partnered with Nickelodeon and hasn't been for some time (this page really needs updated), as for the statement that says the rides are not themed with the rest of the park, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Sounds like someone hasn't been to the park or just wants to make things up. ALL of the rides are themed with the 1800's style of the park. I fixed the page. Hope the original author doesn't mind but it was very much in need of an update.

Downgraded to C class article

[edit]

This article cannot be a B class article without a lot more inline references. RadioBroadcast (talk) 16:35, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Several sections of this article are copied verbatim from the Silver Dollar City website [2]. Copyrighted material will be removed per WP:COPYVIO. Postoak (talk) 02:56, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that a fair amount of original content was removed/replaced [3] on Aug 2, 2009. Maybe someone could review and reinstate? Postoak (talk) 03:23, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Updates Needed

[edit]

Full disclosure: I currently am a staff member at Silver Dollar City. This article needs some basic corrections to spelling errors as well as the removal of rides, shops and shows which are no longer in existence. If no one objects I will make these minor changes. I do have some additional edits that involve new information which I would prefer not to make myself in order to avoid possible conflict of interest. I will request an edit once I get references together. I am new to Wikipedia and if anyone has advice regarding the handling of edits to Silver Dollar City Attractions pages, please contact me via my talk page. I have made the updates I referred to above. I erroneously marked them as minor edits and I'm not sure how to correct that. Smcsdc (talk) 21:00, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You're doing just fine. Keep up the good work. Don't worry about a conflict of interest. So long as you keep your voice neutral, you'd be a fine editor for this article, since you know the park first hand. Czolgolz (talk) 13:35, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
