The swiss cottage should be mentioned, but other than it's existence I don't know much about it. --Ear1grey 07:36, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Currently we say, "The park was originally part of the Vivian family estate, which was purchased by Swansea City council in 1919 for use as a public park." It can't have been "Swansea City council" in 1919: Swansea only because a city fifty years later. Might it have been Swansea Corporation? Telsa (talk) 19:49, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's been changed to "Swansea County Borough Council" which is according to the reference used. Not sure about "Swansea Corporation" - where did you get that name from? (Sloman 20:32, 10 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]
Generally, or in this context? I know that there once was a Swansea Corporation and there now isn't, but that's about the extent of my knowledge. It runs in my mind that it (they?) were the owners of a lot of the public spaces from that period - and reservoirs too? Hence the guess (and the question format, and the use of "might" :)) Telsa (talk) 21:27, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
