Assess for School's Project[edit]

This is a nice looking article whivh unlike many has a good set of references. It should therefore be a "B" article, but it lacks a history section for a school that is 400+ years old. The alumni and the age get you high importance. The school's project can help if you need more assistance Victuallers 04:26, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The statement: "Sir John Deane's is seen as a very competitive and reputable college to people of the surrounding area." sounds a little too much like an opinion to me and not a fact. I wonder if it shouldn't be struck from this encyclopedia article.

Fair use rationale for Image:Sir John Deanes Logo.jpg[edit]

Image:Sir John Deanes Logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Bias by inference and language[edit]

"There are also subtler signs, such as the fine original buildings, the presence of a flourishing boat club in a state school, and the distinctive college arms.[citation needed]"

should be deleted as the phrasing, tone and use of the word "fine" implies that schools in the state system of education (to which it is being compared in this paragraph) lack by definition any such "from the ne" buildings.
