Other Walter Raleigh Gilberts
[edit]There is at least on more. That one is a cousin of Dr William Gilbert Grace, cricket superstar. Walter Raleigh Gilbert also played international cricket. Strangely, he played for Canada, during their first tour of England in 1880. Perhaps he was just making up the numbers. Or maybe he was smuggled in by Canada's captain, Rev TD Phillips. Phillips got to know WGGrace when Fitzgerald's XI toured Canada in 1872. Phillips was then President of the Ottawa Cricket Club. 72.53.241.67 (talk) 18:24, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
