Relationship of this article to Hors d'oeuvre

[edit]

This page is tagged as a disambiguation, but contains some explanatory content that could probably be fleshed out into a full article. At the same time, this information overlaps to some extent with Hors d'oeuvre. This whole page could potentially just be changed to a redirect to Hors d'oeuvre. At the same time, Hors d'oeuvre is an imperfect article. In one sense, the phrase means a course of a meal (i.e. appetizer), in another sense it means a portion size or style of presentation (i.e. canapés or small plates). Hors d'oeuvre attempts to cover both topics, to some extent. As many bars and restaurants now serve small plates alone, it may be useful to have articles for both senses This page could be a useful place to put an article about the latter.
