Reason for the name change?

The article states, "The film was retitled Snow White and the Three Clowns in Great Britain." I've not researched it, but I think I may know the reason for this. In Moe's autobiography, Moe Howard and the Three Stooges, he noted that they had to change their name when they toured Ireland. Why?
