Cliffhanger ending?[edit]

Having just seen the film again, this time the Blu-Ray version I'm wondering if the "cliffhanger ending" still applies as I hear a gunshot at the very end.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.216.68.148 (talkcontribs) 05:43, 9 July 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

Friedkin did a new sound mix for the bluray with a lot of changed and updated sound effects, including dubbing in a gunshot over the last shot of the movie which was not part of the original mix. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.44.112.170 (talk) 16:33, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary[edit]

Whoever wrote the summary misunderstood the plot at a number of points. I've corrected the timeline of Serrano and Kassem's deaths.

Another that needs correction: Nilo's death did not occur until after Dominguez had begun to hallucinate, and Dominguez did not know of this until his hallucination ended. 24.62.224.22 (talk) 22:24, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Another thing[edit]

A reviewer is quoted as saying that the film has a "cliffhanger finale." It does not. It may appear that way to viewers who don't watch the last minute of the film, but in fact what happens is relatively clear. 24.62.224.22 (talk) 22:29, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
