South Shore high school canarsie[edit]

Its a pity when a school has to change in a downward direction due to changing student bodies.The question is should a school change to a training centre if the incoming students seem to prefer that as going to college is not their plan..or should the school keep its heading as a catalyst in said community to talk and promote going to college..With so many public schools controlled by some folks whose kids dont go there but go to private schools it seems that schools are giving up.And becoming psychologists big brother centres and professional training schools for electronics computers and air hostesses..backroom wallstreet .I understand as populations change schools shrink combine into other schools busing students in and out however sshs didnt shrink..it gave up its mandate..it let its people down..many parents who wanted college took out their kids to other pre college high schools as they saw the crawling of the mission from 1980 pre med pre law to 2010 ..with its preparation for getting a job after high school. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.139.193.163 (talk) 16:13, 19 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
