Merge with Pioneer Anomaly

[edit]

This article seems a little superfluous, and should perhaps be merged with the [| Pioneer Anomaly] either under that heading or this). Technically, this is a better heading, but practically speaking, more people probably refer to it under that name? Joel.Gilmore (talk) 05:51, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Full disclosure - I'm the guy who created this article.) I spent some time searching for articles on this phenomena (not for articles on specific spacecraft), and I didn't find the Pioneer Anomaly article that way. I agree that it would be good to merge with the Pioneer Anomaly article, and that this is a better heading because it is broader, because the issue is broader than just the Pioneer. I disagree that this article is superfluous, as I think it adds important non-Pioneer information, and additional search terms, and should continue to do so until the articles are merged. Merging may take a while, as the Pioneer Anomaly article may take a significant effort to change it from an article specific to a particular spacecraft.
