Why is there no discussion of Jonze's film work (it is in the filmography--but for crying out loud he directed Being John Malkovich and Adaptation and Synecdoche, New York).

The second documentary referred to (both of which are included in the first issue of Wholphin), was directed by David O Russell.

Jewish?

Is it certain Spike Jonze is Jewish and not half Jewish or even not Jewish at all. According to Sharon Waxman, author of Rebels on the Backlot: Six Maverick Directors and How they Conquered the Hollywood Studio System, Spike Jonze isn't Jewish. She was interviewed by The Jewish Journal and asked if any of the six maverick directors she listed (Quentin Tarantino, David O. Russell, Spike Jonze, David Fincher, Steven Soderbergh, and Paul Thomas Anderson) were Jewish. She said none were except David O. Russell via his father. The interview can be found here: [1]. Furthermore, there's a site online which prettly clearly says "Spike Jonze isn't Jewish" here: [2]. Further searches show that a lot of blogs, forums, and user-contributed fan websites say Jonze is Jewish, but they could have derived this information from us! Also wiki mirrors and wikipedia leechers like nndb.com say he's Jewish. I also found a wiki mirror saying he's half Jewish. It's possible that with a name like "Adam Spiegel," it wouldn't be hard to mistake someone for Jewish. Then there's this Australian Jewish New site that says it [3], but who knows where something like that gets its information. Point is, is there anything that says for certain Spike Jonze is Jewish? I removed the Jewish directors category because this source http://www.jweekly.com/article/full/40231/spike-jonze-goes-wild-in-adaptation-of-friends-classic-book/ only states Jonze's great-great grandfather's father was a rabbi. Nothing else is stated about Jonze's Jewish background, and in fact, it says Jonze doesn't even mention any Jewish background. 68.215.50.186 (talk) 10:49, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

From the May 2005 coverage of "Dave Eggers and friends" held at Stanford University: Two short documentaries were presented, one of which was filmed and directed by Spike Jonze.

The first video, directed by Jonze, was a 10-15 minute documentary on Al Gore, filmed shortly before the 2000 election. Eggers insisted that if the video, which portrayed a day in the life of Al Gore and his family, had aired during the Democratic National Convention as it was supposed to, there would have been different results in the 2000 presidential election. As of January 2006, Untitled Al Gore Documentary[19][20] has been finally made available to the public.

The second video was another politically themed documentary, by Jonze's friend, director David O. Russell.[citation needed] The video was about the phenomenon of soldiers in Iraq raiding houses and stealing money or goods they found inside.[citation needed] The soldiers, who were arrested, wanted to give a full confession and Jonze was given the opportunity to create a short film about the subject.[citation needed]

SFA?

It would save a reader's time and confusion to actually spell out what SFA stands for, instead of making the reader follow the link to San Francisco Art Institute. Recurring collaborators

Is this section really necessary? The director has done 3 films and at the moment actors who have appeared in just 2 appear. The table does not inform the reader anything about the director and in reality has no use. If no response is given to this message, the section will be deleted in a week.
