1983 Formula 2 racing

Do we factually know Team Spirit raced in Formula 2 in 1983? Or was it a straight jump to F1 in 1983, with Honda's backing?

1983 European Formula Two season (which is consistent with this webpage) makes no mention of Team Spirit competing in Formula 2 in 1983 (just a Spirit-BMW run by Emco Sports for Jo Gartner), so my guess is that the team only competed in F1 in 1983. That's what I thought, from looking at 1983 European Formula Two season. I've removed the reference to F2 in 1983. -- Guroadrunner (talk) 01:18, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
