Fifties
[edit]The 50-51 season had been played at Sportsman's Park which was the league location for four years and admission was 85 cents. The 51-52 season changed to North Side Sports Arena with admission reduced to 60 cents. The North Side Park was previously for softball but was remodeled for soccer. The capacity was 3000 and the dimensions were 70 x 100 yards, slighty shorter than at Sportsman's. The league was to start on September 16 but the remodeling took longer so the start date was pushed back to the 30th. It had a 24-game schedule with Sunday afternoon and Wednesday night doubleheaders. The teams involved were the Simpkins, Raiders, Brehenys, and (Joe) Spicas.

Geisler did not operate the league in 52-53 because of issues with the lease. The teams may have moved to the Municipal league and formed a senior division to play at Carondelet Park for that season.

53-54 The Major League had lasted six seasons. It would not operate this season. One of the major problems hurting soccer in St.Louis was that there was no soccer specific park with an enclosed field. Participation in national tournaments required this. The Major League teams had to move into the Municipal League which was entering its 42nd season. The benefit to the fans was to get to now see the best players in the city for free. The Muny fielded a six team group out of Fairground Park for one of their senior divisions while the other senior division had five teams out of Carondelet park. The Fairground group was Grapettes, Kutis No.1, Craig Club, Jack Diamond, Franklin(formerly Pastures AC), and Sullivans. The Carondelet group was Simpkins, Polish Nationals, Kutis No.2, Carondelet, and Meramec Sport Club. The 'Muny' also had a 4-team juveniles division. The Catholic Youh Council(CYC) which had been in operation since 1909 also had a Senior division along with a Junior, Juvenile, Midget, and Bantam.
54-55 The Senior teams withdrew from the Municipal League leaving the Muny with only a Junior division. The ex-Muny seniors switched to the new Khoury League which gave the Khoury Senior division the following contestants: PNA, Walnut Park, Simpkins, Meramec, CSMAC, Pastures, Brehenys, and Jack Diamonds. The Khoury League also fielded Midget, Bantam, and Atom divisions. The CYC had a Senior division as well as Junior, Juvenile, Bantam, Crusader, Midget, and Parochial. Kutis entered into an independent venture of intercity games much like the Shamrocks had done nearly 20 years earlier. They played teams primarily from Milwaukee, Chicago, and Pittsburgh. There was also a new organization formed called the County League. The executive committee was Harry Meyer, Joseph Nowrocki, Jim Hogan, Vince Kniest and Chairman Walter Giesler. The teams included were Overland, McDonalds, RKA Jones Boys, Everton AC, St.L County AC, Richmond Heights, and Washington U Club which was the first occasion a college club team played in a league in St.Louis although they disbanded early in the season. They were headed by Jack Giesler.
