Classical Compositions

I don't see (I could have missed them) anything about the classical synphonies, operas, and ballets that he has done. I saw his King Lear ballet in 1986 and I thought it was wonderfully refreshing ballet. I did enter his name and ballet in Bing and got this website: http://www.stewartcopeland.net. I don't think you need to mention every movie score and every song he has done and then not mention this part of his creations.Mylittlezach (talk) 23:05, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Frequently cited ...

Can anyone tell me what the "Frequently cited recordings with the Police include:" actually is there for? Seems like filler and should be removed. The albums are listed at the bottom. Why the tracks list as well? Candy 07:39, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Nationality

His father is American, his mother Scottish. Should his nationality be Scottish-American / American-Scottish rather than just American? He didn't spend much time in the US whe he was growing up. What nationality is he / does he consider himself? 86.133.246.224 09:27, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

He considers himself American, and has since early childhood (in Beirut he went to the American School and in Millfield he was "the American kid"), even though both of his wives and most of his friends are English. The Amanda Show theme music

I think that we should add a mention somewhere in the article to the fact that Copeland wrote the theme song to "The Amanda Show". Of note, it was originally written for the level "Wizard's Peak" in "Spyro the Dragon" (Yeah, I play video games too often for a man my age.). Possible citations can be found at the comment forums at [[1]] and [[2]] and at [[3]]. If you can find better citation that The Amanda Show theme was originally meant for a certain level in Spyro the Dragon, that certainly would be interesting information to have. However, I agree that the article should mention that Copeland did help compose the Amanda theme. His name is in the credits at the end of every Amanda show episode. Examples off YouTube include 5:23 on [[4]] and 6:02 on [[5]]. Removal of name

I have removed Stewart Copeland from the names of examples of multi-instrumentalists because, while Copeland may stray a bit, his emphasis over his musical career is certainly the drums, and really, to give examples of multi-instrumentalists on such a short list, there are many other musicians who play a much wider variety that are very different from one another. An example would be Curtis Mayfield, who played guitar, bass, drums, clarinet, saxophone, and keyboards. Or-- currently, a better example would be Emily Robison of the Dixie Chicks who, in one concert will switch instruments several times between the dobro, banjo, sitar, mandolin, and guitar. --leahtwosaints (talk) 03:33, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Merger proposal

Klark Kent has had so little release, I don't think that Klark Kent singles Discography is a necessary page: it makes much more sense for this information to be on the main Stewart Copeland page then relegated to its own separate page. Citation needed

"Copeland is also noted for his heavy emphasis on the groove as a complement to the song, rather than displays of technical prowess. He once drove this point home at a drum clinic: Copeland announced that he would show the audience something 'that very few modern drummers can do,' and proceeded to play a simple rock beat for two minutes." As the single-quoted part of this section appears to be a direct quote of the individual, a citation is most definitely needed. • Jordan and Scott with Sonja Kristina Linwood (to be verified)
• Sven which seems to be a Sonja Kristina Linwood's son from a previous union
