Need Both References List and Bib?[edit]

Hi all,

Is there a need for both a references list and a bibliography? If not, how do I go about "converting" the Bibliography into the Reference List? Medlibrarianhnl (talk) 21:39, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Medlibrarianhnl, welcome to Wikipedia! It looks like whoever built this article in the past had intended to have two separate reference sections: "References" which contained short footnotes (e.g. Darnell & Posner 2011, p. 168.), and a "Bibliography" section which contained the larger references those footnotes refer to (e.g. Darnell R, Posner J (2011). Paraneoplastic Syndromes. Oxford University Press. ISBN 978-0-19-977273-5.). They did this with a fancy template called {{sfn}}, so if you hover your mouse over the short footnotes, you should get a small pop-up with the full reference. Remove hypochondrics-focused content[edit]

The article states that there is no evidence-based treatment. Period. Then there follows a list of 'potential' treatments that will drive healthy people into harming themselves. Please remove non-replicable dubious info from medical topics. This is a lexicon, not a research paper. We present secured knowledge, not the latest speculation.

I'll be doing the edit myself. Please state your reasoning if you're going to revert. Thanks in advance. --77.11.187.120 (talk) 77.11.187.120 (talk) 21:52, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
