This whole section, except for the "Diseases linked to succinate dehydrogenase include hereditary paraganglioma, obsessive compulsive disorder, generation of aromatic flatulants, and dwarfism. Subunits and structure

Although the most recent edits are a week ago, the current text looks as if it is in the middle of being edited, since it refers to several figures that are not present, such as figures 4 and 5. The explanation of the structure of subunits appears to be well written, but will only make sense when all the intended figures are present and correctly matched with the text. embryonic lethality

Current text says "The fundamental role of succinate-coenzyme Q reductase in the electron transfer chain of mitochondria makes it vital in most multicellular organisms, removal of this enzyme from the genome has also been shown to be lethal at the embryonic stage in mice." Since Complex I and complex II operate in parallel, it seems possible that the loss of this gene is embryonic lethal not because of its fundamental role in the ETC, but because of its fundamental role in the TCA cycle. Mitochondrial Complex II

It might be beneficial to include "mitochondrial complex II" along with respiratory complex II. I believe that is what SDH is referred to on the "Electron transport chain" wikipedia page. That might help clear up some potential confusion. IamWill (talk) 23:45, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Electron tunneling

I believe there are a total of three Fe-S clusters which was not mentioned. Is that indicated by the 3Fe-4S or is that referring to the contents of one of the clusters? IamWill (talk) 23:58, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merger

I support the merger of Succinate dehydrogenase subunit E into Succinate dehydrogenase (as initially proposed by anon 81.236.207.188 (talk · contribs · WHOIS)).
