Undoing re-direct

[edit]

OK,you have undone the re-direct. Points:- 1. all the main article links point to the Crusader article 2. all the side-valve engines were directly related to the 110hp / Crusader 3. All the relevant info in this article is either already in the Crusader article or can very easily be added Do you have anyevidence why the re-direct should not be re-instated?Petebutt (talk) 16:40, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Per the edit summary, these are a series of developments of the same engine, not independent developments. Although we should have the individual engine articles you've been working on, there's still scope for an overall one - especially as we already have it. The individual articles should (and can) expand from being redirects. The likelihood is that they'll not be big articles, being a stats table that duplicates the other article and also an "aircraft using" list, but that's still a sufficient scope to have them. So on one hand you're desperate to get rid of an article on a series of engines that were related, yet on the other you've now made an undiscussed redirect of Sunbeam Matabele to the article on the Cossack, a whole different engine. Andy Dingley (talk) 19:21, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
