Before this page was split from supernode, it contained the following unclear paragraph:

In general engineering circuit analysis, supernode is that in which voltage source is in between the two nodes.We can solve the circuit even without the use of the concept of supernode. We may assign a current for the voltage source that coonect the two nodes, and then write KCL equations for the two nodes separately. Then we add the two equations and we find that the unknown current will get cancelled in the summation. The resulting equation will give the KCL equation for the supernode.
