Artemisia or Gentileschi?[edit]

I think most writing about Artemisia Gentileschi and her works refers her to as "Artemisia" rather than "Gentileschi" once her full name has been established. A bit like Rembrandt versus Van Rijn. Any reason why that shouldn't apply to this article? Frans Fowler (talk) 07:50, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Move from Susanna and the Elders (Artemisia Gentileschi, Pommersfelden)[edit]

User:Ravenpuff has moved this article from Susanna and the Elders (Artemisia Gentileschi, Pommersfelden), apparently unaware that a there is a discussion (so far involving User:Nedrutland and me) currently going on at Talk:Susanna and the Elders (Gentileschi, Stamford) about moving that article (the Stamford painting) so its name is consistent with the name of this one at Pommersfelden (that is, including "Artemisia") and the third version, Susanna and the Elders (Artemisia Gentileschi, Brno). I also recently suggested that in the body of the present article about the Pommersfelden painting, we change the short name for Artemisia Gentileschi from "Gentileschi" to "Artemisia" (see above) because it is as "Artemisia" that she is usually discussed. I'm reluctant to undo Ravenpuff's move, but perhaps Ravenpuff might consider doing so for the time being, and contribute to the discussions. -- Frans Fowler (talk) 20:44, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Frans Fowler: Apologies, I obviously didn't look closely enough! Move reverted. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 02:21, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
