Conflicting sources - date of orchestra formation

[edit]

Three separate sources (two from the same publisher!) state the year of formation of this orchestra as three different years.

- [1]https://www.baltimoresun.com/2022/08/19/conductor-sheldon-bair-and-his-community-ensemble-keep-the-music-playing-in-harford/ - "All take their cues from Bair, 67, who founded the orchestra fresh out of college in 1976."

- [2]https://www.baltimoresun.com/2023/10/20/susquehanna-symphony-to-perform-sheldon-bairs-homefront-based-on-letter-his-grandmother-wrote-during-wwii/ - "Sheldon Bair, who founded the Susquehanna Symphony in 1977, thinks of himself primarily as a music educator, not a composer."

- [3]https://thebellarion.com/ae/2015/12/10/the-susquehanna-symphony-orchestra-comes-back-to-harford-county/ - "Originally formed in 1978, the orchestra played under the name “The Harford Community Orchestra.” The name changed to what it is now known today as in the year 1982."

For what it's worth, SSO themselves say 1978.[1] I've edited the article to say "late 1970s" for now - any thoughts on how to resolve this, keeping in mind WP:CONFLICTING? Detetrident (talk) 01:07, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of notability tag

[edit]

I've removed the notability tag from the article since I believe there are a sufficient amount of independent sources that cover the subject extensively (these are cited). Please let me know if you think otherwise!

I've replaced it with a refimprove tag instead - for guidance on how to find sources, try looking on the official website (ssorchestra.org).
