Swaroopathil Nairs are those Nairs who got Swaroopam status because of their wealth. For example, Parur Swaroopam. They were actually Nairs. But because of their wealth, they were given Swaroopam status. I don't know if Charnavars are genuine Nairs or not. My family members have never said so, that Charnavars too are Nairs. They have told us about Kiriyam, Illam, Vellayama and Shudran. Later, I came to know that Vellayamas are Kiriyathil Nairs and Shudrans are actually Illathu Nairs. All these four sub-castes were highly rich and have strict marriage rules. These sub-castes never married from Pallichan community and Ambalavasi communities. They even never allowed The Adikals, Moothathus(Moosads) and Elayathus to have Sambandham with the women of their family. Because Adikals, Moothathus, and Elayathus are Ambalavasis. They are not Brahmins. They don't belong to Gotras of Maharshis and also they don't have Vedic schools. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.204.124.151 (talk) 05:35, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
