Move Request[edit]

The result of the move request was Tall Tale --> Tall Tale (film); Tall Tale redirects to Tall tale. —harej (talk) (cool!) 17:45, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Tall TaleTall Tale (film) — I believe this article should be moved to Tall Tale (film) to avoid confusion with Tall tale, the article about the folklore style. 『 ɠu¹ɖяy¤ 07:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Oppose. The best way to avoid reader confusion involving similar titles is by use of hatnotes, which this article already has (WP:NC (precision)#Minor spelling variations). Titles should avoid unnecesary qualifiers that make searching and linking more difficult. Station1 (talk) 07:11, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Support, and suggest redirecting Tall Tale to Tall tale. Most that would search with "tale" capitalized would still be looking for the article about the fictional story. — CIS (talk | stalk) 05:23, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Support per CIS. It's clearer for the reader to have a disambiguator in the end rather than disambiguate between different capitalizations (although the guideline does allow that). Most searches are done without capitalization anyway. Jafeluv (talk) 11:47, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
But if most searches are done without capitalization anyway, it makes zero difference what we name this capitalized article. And for the minority who are searching for (or linking to) the movie and know how to use a shift key, you'd purposely be sending them to the wrong article. Station1 (talk) 16:18, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
  • Support I think in general users looking for a film will tend to negelect proper capitilization of a title. Given that time has somewhat obscured this film I think it is more likely that a person would unintentionally captilize both words searching for "Tall tale" than a person searching for the movie intentionally using correct capitlization. Expansion and Citation[edit]

This article is poorly developed and only cites one source in the whole article! Every section in this article needs to be expanded and properly sourced. This article is also missing a great deal of information on the film's production, release (which includes the film's home media releases as well), and reception which all need to be added to the article. I can make a starter for other people to expand upon later but this article needs a lot of work done to it in order for it to meet Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 19:12, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
