O.K., guys and gals! I am going to try to follow through on building this article, but it's an uphill slog. I don't know from 'categories': I attempted to add a couple, and thought someone was reverting me, but tthere is no record in the history. I have to assume that I never successfully saved the edit. I would try again, but in researching, I am learning that the 'cats' I had chosen are probably inappropriate. Will revisit that issue. More crucial at this point are notable refs, addressed below. Refs

[edit]

I am attempting to establish notability of the subject in a blog-rich environment. Tapsnake, as most of you reading this probably are already aware, is not only old news, but appropriately dead and buried. The explanations and remedies I am finding are from 2010 and earlier (!), and are almost exclusively blogs, though a few are fairly credible blogs, if dated. Fella named Graham Cluley of whom some of you may have heard, does a 'newsletter' blog. Symantec/forum looks promising. One hit from PC Magazine: do they still print'n'mail, or do they now qualify as a blog, as well?

I will be adding something in the way of a reflist, as well as deleting some of my first-person narrative, in an attempt to resemble an encyclopedic article. I still believe there is value here, as I am not the only dinosaur stumbling and trampling through the internet. I believe there are those who would benefit from a cogent explanation, were I to acheive such. Stay tuned! Rags (talk) 15:48, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Resurfaced in Mac environment

This has resurfaced as part of a scam targeting Mac users: July 8, 2016 LiveJournal entry. Yngvadottir (talk) 16:05, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete this article?

[edit]

This article is irrelevant now, and it has very little in terms of content. I think it should be merged or deleted. 218.212.202.135 (talk) 11:36, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
