This is a main character on a television show that will be running for multiple seasons on a major network. Not sure why it's proposed for deletion.

She really is only one of about six main characters - do they all deserve their own pages ? Or mergeto the series page ? -- Beardo (talk) 08:14, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Distinction

[edit]

This article fails to make a distinction between Tara Thornton as she appears in the book, and in the television series. After reading 'Dead Until Dark' I fail to notice any mention of Tara at all, yet this book is listed under the bibliography section.Anaythea (talk) 15:46, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article is now inconsistent, saying she does not appear until the second book but listing the first. -- Beardo (talk) 08:14, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of wrong info

[edit]

In the article, it says "in the books" when discussing the tv show as stated in the previous discussion. Also, Tara is Sookie's friend from high school, in the books, not a friend who used to escape to Sookie's house to escape her mother, as on the TV show. Brook Kerr

[edit]

Is there a source for the little factoid that Tara was played by Brook Kerr in the True Blood pilot? I just watched the first episode last night and she was definitely played by Rutina Wesley. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.77.45.29 (talk) 04:02, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a link to a cut youtube video which shows Brook Kerr. It's true, you can watch for yourself! --Demon from Walmart 19:27, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

The essence of Tara

[edit]

Right now the article reads like a big experiment in moving description... I sincerely miss a capture of Tara's essence, her character. She seems to be cursed, because all the time she can be seen getting from one trouble into another one. She can never enjoy the sunny side of relationships, but is always manipulated (by others) and angry (from within herself) and pushes away the best-meaning friends and lovers while being drawn to the big exploiters and manipulators... She is one big angry itch, kicking and screaming, that never gets scratched, so it build up unbearably tension. I'm not sure, whether she is designed to suffer... (i.e. she won't be allowed to enjoy life, because the script writer / author designed her as an eternal child of misery) --Demon from Walmart (talk) 20:43, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 05:11, 23 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Does this article fit the requirements of being one?

[edit]

The topic of an article has to be notable. This article seems to just be of a character in this one HBO series that has little appearances outside of the show. G-Toasty (talk) 16:56, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
