By the way, before The Batman Advenures, there was at least one previoius animated series adaptation title that had "Adventures" in its title; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.147.140.206 (talkcontribs) 26 September 2005

Yes, but Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures isn't part of the same continuity, so it's not part of the set. --Paul A 04:48, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Corresponding TV title

[edit]

Although it may seem incongruous, Justice League is the TV series best corresponding to the last period of Batman Adventures. Batman is depicted in his Justice League costume (which is quite different from his Gotham Knights costume), and issue #5 contains a direct reference to the events of the Justice League episode "The Enemy Below". --Paul A 04:45, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes exactly. The the section isn't necessarily about what TV series the book is spun off of, but rather what DCAU Television series era the book was corresponding to. --Venomaru 2.0 05:29, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The last volume of Batman Adventures had nothing to do with JL, other than Batman's character design. If there had been no Justice League cartoon, the comic still would have been published, whereas the other comic series existed solely to tie-in with their respective cartoons. 216.106.36.119 14:16, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure I believe that. If there had been no Justice League cartoon, and no updated character designs, wouldn't they have just kept Gotham Adventures going? --Paul A 03:00, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Again, exactly. Paul A is right on the money with this one. They would have just kept the original series going if what 216 said was the case. But in addition to canceling Gotham Knights, they also used the Justice League Batman costume/design, and touched upon various Justice League subplots. Including having certain issues directly continue certain stories, and deal with certain plots elements. --Venomaru 2.0 05:25, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone write ...

[edit]

Can someone write about the Batman Adventures Story-arc?? --T for Trouble-maker 21:12, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wouldn't the Batman Adventures paragraph be better in the Batman Adventures Wiki? We're already in a TV show about a comic book. Do we need to discuss the comic book based on a TV show based on a comic book?--Gillespee 01:59, 30 December 2005 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Duggy 1138 (talkcontribs) 02:01, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Critical Reception

[edit]

This article could use a section on the comic's critical reception back in the day. As I recall, it received numerous rave reviews, but I don't have any sources to cite. 12.45.255.66 (talk) 16:03, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
