Not a landmark[edit]

The Bitter End is not a New York City Landmark. To relieve confusion can you omit the line about the landmark status of the building. 161.185.158.23 (talk) 18:50, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bitter End / Other End / Bitter End[edit]

Can anyone place dates on the name changes?

19 July 1975 it is called The Other End in newspapers...

And in 1979 it is photographed as the Other End...

Rolling Stone reported the name change TO the Other End as June 1975, after being closed for a year as the Bitter End.

"In June, the old Bitter End, closed for about a year, reopened with a liquor license. Owned by Paul Colby, one of the original partners, rechristened the Other End, it was attached to a bar and restaurant next door."

Recent edits[edit]

Hello. I fixed a typo that showed Paul Colby's ownership of the club as 1874 - instead of 1974. I also added information about co-owner Kenny Gorka's passing in 2015 and an image of the plaque out in front of the club that shows the date of its landmark status. Thanks! List of performers has to go[edit]

Wikipedia article are not places to store all information about the topic and the endless - and almost entirely unsourced - list of performers is a perfect example of what not to do. The list should be killed, or at least trimmed to those who have outside sources confirming their appearance here. At the very least, I've removed the red-listed examples; if you're not notable enough to have an article you certainly don't belong in this list. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 16:32, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
