I have seen a programme Henry Sherek presents The Confidential Clerk by T.S.Eliot at the Lyric Theatre that states First Performance at this Theatre Wednesday 16th September 1953. The imdb page for Denholm Elliott other works also states The Confidential Clerk, Edinburgh Festival, Scotland, then Lyric Theatre, 1953 ....(1953-1954) He acted in TS Eliot's play, "The Confidential Clerk," at the Lyric Theatre in London. This suggests the production section of the article is wrong. This play is also missing from notable performances section in the article for the Lyric Theatre.

Didn't Eliot announce formally some time after the London run began that his play was based on the Ion of Euripides?86.138.156.17 (talk) 18:17, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
