Horror?
[edit]I don't see why this novel is classified as horror. If anything it is surely a paranormal thriller/chiller. There is little horrific content, excepting perhaps a couple of scenes surrounding Frank Dodd. ayyem (talk) 20:14, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Dead Zone unlocked
[edit]dropped: "he has unlocked the mysterious "dead zone" of his brain"
IIRC, the phrase "dead zone" as used in the novel described what Johnny couldn't perceive with his new ability, such as street addresses and sometimes names: the absence of the information stood out from what he did "see" when he used the touch. Ellsworth 22:08, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Didn't the "dead zone" also refer to the visions of the future not being written in stone and changeable as in the case when he foresaw the ice accident?--66.240.89.45 19:40, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- But that was only in the film adaption. --MasterA113 14:33, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Adaptions vs. Disambiguation
[edit]The adaptions section is useful, as it includes some detail, but the obvious question is: should this not go into a disambiguation page? Insomniacity 14:04, 15 July 2005 (UTC)
- I see the adaptations as belonging here since it has very much to do with the book. --69.154.162.94 00:21, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
Ending?
[edit]due to its ending, is considered to be one of the worst books ever.
This seemed out of place and was added recently as the sole edit to a non-logged in user. I have removed it. --ViperDaimao64.154.26.251 17:44, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
- Considered one of the worst books ever? According to WHOM?????? I thought the ending was right. Chani 65.74.59.37 11:18, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Actor names
[edit]Why are the actors of the film being referened in the article for the novel?
- I've removed them. Leftist 11:52, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:DeadZone.jpg
[edit]Image:DeadZone.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:34, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Flagg Street
[edit]Would it be noteworthy to mention that this novel contains a reference to Randall Flagg with the mention of a Flagg Street? 45.72.247.198 (talk) 19:44, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
- No. King's works have lots of possible references to other stories he has written. If we put all the speculation in articles, they would be bloated with unimportant trivia. We can't get inside King's head to know how much he intended or how important it is to him. Those familiar with his works will realize these details when they read if they are noteworthy. For anyone else it's useless trivia. Sundayclose (talk) 20:24, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
