Release dates for singles
[edit]@CloversMallRat: The singles' releases dates require citations. I have only found citations for the years in which "Wildflower" and "Shotgun Girl" were released. "Merry Go Round" is the only one with a month because it has a source that says the month. If you want to add more to the dates, then you will need sources to support that information. Ideally, it would be great to have the exact dates for all three, but I have not found that sourced anywhere. I will look for it again sometime in the future, but please stop adding unsourced information to the article. I do not want this to turn into an edit war as this is my third revert to the article (though I have explained my rationale with each edit). Either way, I hope you have a great end to your weekend. - @Aoba47: Well the singles are old now so finding a source that states the exact date they were released is difficult to do because that kind of information isn't usually permanent on the Internet. The article for "Wildflower" was created by me during its run, 9 years ago, and at that time I was able to put the date on the page because it was still new information at the time. The type of websites that provide adds dates like Allaccess and Music Row usually keep that data current and I don't know of a way to find those dates in a source in 2019. I also post on a music forum and adds dates are posted on there for basically every song in the past 10-15 years or so. I wasn't aware exact dates absolutely needed external citations anyway, because that's definitely not seemed to be the case for a lot of the articles I've come across on this site, lol. - @CloversMallRat: Thank you for the response. That is one of the tough parts about working on articles on older music. Everything should have external citations according to Wikipedia:Verifiability (unless the information falls under Wikipedia:You do need to cite that the sky is blue for something super obvious, and this is not the case). Just because other articles do it, that does not mean that it is correct. Aoba47 (talk) 16:00, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
- @CloversMallRat: I have found sources for the release dates for the first two singles. Aoba47 (talk) 22:21, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Aoba47: yay, thank you! I'm so glad you were able to locate sources for them. CloversMallRat (talk) 23:04, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- Same here lol. You actually inspired me to dig a little deeper to find them so I should be thanking you. Aoba47 (talk) 23:12, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
