[edit]This page was created to disambiguate the present Sir Thomas Chaloner from the Thomas Chaloner (naturalist) his cousin who wrote the 1584 work A Short Discourse of the most rare Vertue of Nitre (Gerald Dewes, London). Most of the edit history upon Sir Thomas the Governor of the Courtly College (subject of the present article) remains with the naturalist's article. The authority for this disambiguation is shown in Simon Healy, 'Chaloner, Sir Thomas (?1564-1615), of Richmond Palace, Surr., Steeple Claydon, Bucks. and Clerkenwell, Mdx.' in Andrew Thrush and John P. Ferris (Eds), The History of Parliament: the House of Commons 1604-1629 (Cambridge University Press 2010): paragraph 1 of 'Biography'. Eebahgum (talk) 12:00, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
