'Tiger grass' is commonly grown in Australia as a 'bamboo like' ornamental or screening plant (it grows very fast). It is usually listed with the botanical name Thysanolaena maxima. I thought it was from South East Asia (THailand) but I saw this article: Amliso [[1]] so not sure. Faerlys (talk) 11:16, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
