Why is mainstream psychology from 1950-1980 completely missing?

I'm guessing because this is an article about psychiatry, which concerns diagnosis and medicinal treatments. Psychiatry and psychology are related but are two different fields. There is probably a Timeline of Psychology article somewhere else. BadEdition (talk) 14:50, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

India

[edit]

For some reason, this article seemed to cover relatively minor events relating to India in excessive detail. This article is intended to cover the 'Timeline of psychiatry' at a global level, and such detail is clearly off-topic. Accordingly, I am propose to remove this India-related material, and will ask that it not be restored unless it can be demonstrated that it is significant in the context of the scope of the article. I'll wait a few days before doing so, however, to allow others to comment. AndyTheGrump (talk) 13:30, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alienist

[edit]

"Alienist" used to be a common term for psychiatry in the early 19th century at least. Not currently mentioned in article. Jason Quinn (talk) 15:45, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
