Not correct?[edit]

I'm pretty sure Timpview is not 1% Caucasian and 69% Asian, unless Provo's demographics have changed drastically in the last year. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.29.210.145 (talk) 06:05, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the notable alumni look a LEETLE suspicious as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.29.210.145 (talk) 06:10, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Editing problems[edit]

Each group needs to reread their section for editing problems. You are representing the school to all who visit this site.Jeanarock (talk) 20:16, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Footnotes[edit]

We must support our statistics with footnotes from 3rd party sources. Cite everything.Jeanarock (talk) 20:16, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notable alumni[edit]

This section needs help. Please ask former alumni (parents) for ideas to use here. Jeanarock (talk) 20:16, 11 May 2009 (UTC)—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeanarock (talkcontribs) 20:11, 11 May 2009 (UTC) Why is Nate Warner considered "notable alumni"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeanarock (talkcontribs) 15:23, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Academics[edit]

Something about Sterling Scholars needs to be added here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeanarock (talkcontribs) 14:57, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I updated AP passing rates and ACT scores for 2012. Also added Vice-Principals. Jeanarock (talk) 03:40, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Athletics[edit]

Please don't use abbreviations like QB or LB. Some of the readers don't know what they mean.Jeanarock (talk) 15:22, 12 May 2009 (UTC) Why is the fight song under the athletics heading? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.2.75.159 (talk) 20:29, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Traditions[edit]

What is the purpose of Men's and Girl's Weeks? What is the purpose of Mr. Timpview?Jeanarock (talk) 15:25, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Bayles[edit]

He has been at Timpview longer than just this year. Find out when he started here and fix this part. What about listing all principals in the History section?Jeanarock (talk) 15:27, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clubs[edit]

There are too many silly clubs listed here. The Cookie Club? Just list the ones that have a tradition at the school like DECA and others like that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeanarock (talkcontribs) 19:37, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

This section still needs more help. List the former principals. Explain the additions to the school and why they were added or delete this part. Do we have pictures to show the additions? (see the comment above)Jeanarock (talk) 17:25, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Faculty[edit]

Instead of listing the faculty members, which would change every year, how about just listing notable teachers like Louis Durham who won the Huntsman Award for best teacher?Jeanarock (talk) 19:31, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

This article has serious problems. Getting a class to write an article about their school is not a good idea, and results in this kind of poor-quality article. As well as many Manual of Style violations (references in titles, improper use of tables and other html), much of the content is not encyclopaedic. Wikipedia is not a random collection of information. Most of this article consists of trivial facts that should either be re-written as prose or removed altogether. OrangeDog (talkedits) 22:47, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Encouraging better editing is always a good thing. Rejecting entirely certain types of editors is against the spirit of Wikipedia. For the teacher, you may want to consider a lesson on syntax or a guide for students to follow. Perhaps using the sandbox? -- ForgottenManC (talk) 01:03, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We appreciate your feedback. This site is being built from the ground up and is a learning process for all involved. Please be patient while we construct the site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeanarock (talkcontribs) 14:31, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The main problem is that the content is almost entirely lists of information, with no explanation of significance and no verifiable sources. Take a look at Category:FA-Class school articles for some of the best articles about schools, and what you and your students should be aiming for.
If the page is currently undergoing a major re-write or expansion, consider putting {{inuse}} or {{construction}} at the top of the article, or using a user page to work on the article, copying it to main space once complete.
All information in the article must be verifiable, with references to reliable sources. OrangeDog (talkedits) 15:44, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References continue to be a problem. Things such as "Registration Booklet" are completely useless. Please make sure all editors are familiar with policy on reliable sources and verifiability, as well as how to use named references and citation templates. OrangeDog (talkedits) 01:01, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding OrangeDog's comment, I think it may be more useful to reference to the registration booklet which incidentally is online. See http://timpview.provo.edu/registration/Registration%20Booklet%202009-10.pdf Also, why is it on the notable alumni, things like BYU, U of U, etc. are bolded? -- Gblob331 (talk) 06:21, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My Timpview High School was threatened by a wildfire.[edit]

I don't know if any Wikipedia users live in the Utah Country area. But a year ago, there was a wildfire near my Timpview High School. I was scared my school would burn to the ground. I'm glad the Provo Firefighters were able to control the fire. I would've been upset if my Timpview High burned to the ground. I went to Timpview High School back in 1997-2002. Anyways here is the news article link. [[1]] CrosswalkX (talk) 18:15, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
