I'll give this a go. ♦ jaguar 15:02, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
- The lead is a bit on the short side and doesn't summarise the article fully per WP:LEAD. A slight expansion would benefit it
- "was a 'specialist light infantry corps'" - why is this in quotes?
- "The battalion itself was composed of 8 x chasseur companies and 1 of carabiniers" - what does the 'x' mean? And write the small numbers out in prose
- "Napoleon once again reviewed the battalion and apparently couldn't hide his amazement" - informal
- "was known to be a good officer, nice, and event spoke Italian to comfort his men" - typo, informal again, this reads like a copy and paste
- " getting in each other's way during the early stages–admittedly the fog did nothing to help–" - could be structured better as getting in each other's way during the early stages due to the fog
- "the battalion had 2 officers wounded" - two
- " hostilities once again broke out in Germany" - this links to the modern Germany. Is this perhaps referring to Prussia?
- " and lost 1 officer killed, 1 mortally wounded, and 8 wounded" - it's good practice to write out numbers small than 12 (or is it 10?) in prose
I found a few instances which would benefit from minor copyediting, but nothing major. Once those points are out of the way this should be good to go. ♦ jaguar 19:36, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
