Graduation

The article seems to state that Ms. Basil graduated high school at age 40. Is this correct?--MichaelCaricofe 09:46, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

No. It states that she wore the uniform of the school from which she graduated. There is nothing in the sentence about the cheerleader uniform to indicate when she graduated. --Insley 17:00, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Toni Basil died?

I haven't been able to find any information on any other website regarding Toni Basil's death (even the fact that she died). Are you sure this is correct? It seems odd - you stated she died of natural causes, but she wasn't that old, really. Just wondering if you have any other information or sources. Thanks very much! Orphaned references in Toni Basil

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Toni Basil's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Age seems off

Ok, where is the source for this age, most other sources put it anywhere between 1943 to 1950. 1938 would make her 44 at the time Mickey was shot, which seems a bit off. - lturner80, 3rd Jan 2007

Promotional rewrite

Given the number of users who objected to ToniBasil930/CatchyJ's heavily promotional revisions of this article, to say nothing of the dewikification involved in the changes, the poor referencing that mostly fails WP:RS, and the general failure to conform to content policies, I believe this article should be returned to the form it was in before the COI edits were added. I think it's clear that these "Team Basil" edits reflect a glaring COI and display promotional intent. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 15:00, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Recent Revision

This page was revised using correct information mostly derived from sources available at The Margaret Herrick Library at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It also lists several other references. It is not promotional in any way and simply corrects the original page and states facts. In fact, I revised the original revision taking out adjectives (many on the original page) that would seem more of a personal opinion. The original page had less references, wrong information and was poorly written. I am not affiliated with Ms. Basil but am a Dance major and want information on notable choreographers to be correct on the web. A simple search on the IMDB and Billboard's website will confirm film, television, music and choreography work and other websites are given for awards and exhibits. Even though some people may not think the IMDB is not a good source, it is actually a great source as no one is listed on a creative work unless they actually worked on it. Also, if a video/dvd is available, one can simply rent it if they're are so unsure and it matters so intently to them. There is also no conflict with the subject and honestly, I can't understand why someone feels so strongly about this particular page when this entire website is full of pages on people that are unreferenced, uninformed and just plain wrong. ~~ CatchyJ —Preceding unsigned comment added by CatchyJ (talk • contribs) 15:27, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
