Date of birth[edit]

Imdb and many other sources say Tony Beckley was born in 1927, BFI says 1932. I believe 1929 is correct: Van Gelder (1979) gives Beckley's full name as Derek Anthony Beckley and the death record I found matches in every other way. 1929 also makes more sense with regards to Hancock (2004) and Osborne (1986). According to Van Gelder (1979) Beckley joined RADA when he was 18 and he met Sheila Hanock there who was at RADA between 1949-1950. Charles Osborne says in his book that Beckley was "a year or two younger" than himself. Osborne was born in 1927.Shalarevedere (talk) 21:58, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
