Dave version
[edit]I am curently watching this, and it is lightly edited, rather than heavily cut, it also is on a hour and a half slot, they may have produced a cut down version for an hour slot, but I have never seen it. Golden Dragoon (talk) 13:47, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- It was heavily edited to fit an hour timeslot, reducing the full episode to around 45-46 minutes. That version received complaints, so the channel returned it to its full length but spaced out with commercial breaks, resulting in it getting a 90 minute timeslot. Concerns with the article
[edit]Exactly which portion of the article do you take offense with so we can remedy it?

- Yes, if someone does have a problem, that's fine, but can someone say what it is so we can correct it? LicenseFee (talk) 00:36, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- I placed a {{tone}} template on the article due to an number of grammatical issues and a load of original research. Chris 42 took time to copyedit the article so it's a lot better. [ cycle~ ] (talk), 02:35, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Italics
[edit]To User:Chris 42, please don't remove the italics as they are now. It is necessary since it emphasizes the humorous tone intended by the presenter in making the statement. 124.106.128.115 (talk) 13:35, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- I've just checked the Wiki MoS, and it states they can be used sparingly for emphasis (not for general speech), but in this instance I guess it's okay. :-) Chris 42 (talk) 14:54, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- It is not okay to use Italics in this manner. Chris 42 should not have claimed that "It's okay". Matter closed for discussion. GUtt01 (talk) 07:02, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
bike
[edit]i've just watched the episode again just to verify that clarkson didn't in fact claim to have never ridden a bike. he says, 'i can't ride a bike' and 'this is the only bike i've ever had'. i'm removing the wrong parts.
- Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld (Mopeds in Vietnam), shows a much younger Jeremy competently riding a Honda Dream in Vietnam, just FYI. 78.144.247.143 (talk) 12:34, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
-but Vespa have a very different controls than normal bike. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.53.68.72 (talk) 08:55, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Regardless, if he has ridden a bike before, then it can be stated he was staging the comment for this episode. Matter closed for this discussion. GUtt01 (talk) 07:06, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
"a hemispherical metal basket usually used for carrying vegetables"
[edit]Good grief. What a jumbled mess. Where to start? Well, I can make one contribution. That should get somebody started... mutter mutter--Rfsmit (talk) 22:14, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- It would be wisest to voice concerns on the article in a bit more detail than this. GUtt01 (talk) 07:04, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
Clarkson Quote
[edit]Shouldn't that be "...a deserted ribbon of perfection — one of the best coast roads...in the world." It's not Clarkson without the dramatic pause! - 142.166.93.249 (talk) 13:29, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- It's a nice quote, but this article should not be too detailed on the summary of the episode. Matter closed on this discussion. GUtt01 (talk) 07:03, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
Driving Test
[edit]After the Vietnamese driving test after Clarkson fails on May's Cub and the statue brakes when it hits the pavement. However during the entire test you can clearly see that the statue was not tied to the Cub during the test.73.194.228.65 (talk) 20:04, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what your point is? Can you clarify what you're trying to get across, or what change you're suggesting should be made? Chaheel Riens (talk) 20:26, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
