DONE AS A WRESTLER

Torrie stated on her myspace blog that her back injury is so extensive that she cannot wrestle ever again. Shouldn't this be added? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.201.182.142 (talk) 00:25, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Well I have read that she is retired in various places and I've also read that blog. At least what she said in the blog should be added. --Big-fella123 (talk) 22:46, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

NODQ.com's Myspace page confirmed that WWE relased Torrie Wilson today, May 8th, 2008. -MeLiShWa-

Victoria?

Does anyone have a source that says that Torrie's real name is Victoria? I havent' found anything yet. Thanks. -User:MgHoneyBee Apr.5, 2006.

It's comman knowlege that Torrie is Short for Victoria -BionicWilliam 02:30, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Yes Torrie is short for Victoria but that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking if her REAL NAME is Victoria instead of Torrie.Thanks. User:MgHoneyBee Apr.13,2006.
The name on the birth certificate states "Torrie Anne Wilson". Please do not change it to Victoria, as that is incorrect. Thank you! Torrie Wilson's full name is Torrie Anne Wilson-Gruner. I'm not sure what it was, but it was something where Torrie and Billy Kidman were at an event (I think it was something to do with Stacy Keibler and that dancing thing she did), and the site named them as "Peter Gruner aka Billy Kidman, and Torrie Wilson-Gruner, WWE Diva Torrie Wilson".
First, this appears to be correct. Torrie (the name) is a common name which is derived from the name Victoria. (Although, it's not always the case which some people are born "Torrie") Next, how would you know what it says on her birth certificate unless you have a copy of it? Unless you can provide a more accurate source than the IMDB profile page, do not change it. — The King of Kings 03:53 August 03 '06
Go to intelius (https://find.intelius.com/people-search.html) or any similiar background website and do a search on Torrie A Wilson and you will find a Torrie Wilson listed for Boise, ID; Marina Del Ray, CA; and Tampa, FL; all of which are places she has known to have resided. The background searches are based on social security numbers which match the actual, legal name, not nickname. Now do a background search on the name Victoria Wilson and you find none in Boise or Tampa. Better yet look at the relatives listed next to the Boise ID, Torrie Anne Wilson. They are all her brothers. IMDB is not an accurate source, for it can be changed by anybody just as on this site. SSN Names can not be changed by just anybody. Also, do a search on Torrie Gruner and you'll find one in Tarpon Springs, FL (a suburb of Tampa) with a Peter Gruner as a relative. There is no Victoria Gruner in FL, CA, or ID.
Fine but that site should be illegal for invasion of privicy and for info on signing your name goto WP:SYPOTP -BionicWilliam 20:05, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Got the info didn't you?Sephiroth storm 02:46, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Wow..."Fine but that site should be illegal"? That's the dumbest counter-arguement I've ever heard. People (especially those who can convince a judge they are of "celebrity" status) can easily have their information removed from public databases like that. And who cares if you can look up someone's real name, relatives and where they lived? You can do the same thing at your local courthouse. Go whine to your congressman if it bothers you so much. --JohnDoe0007 05:40, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Reality

There is not a clear enough line in this article between reality and the WWE storyline. Rich Farmbrough 10:40 8 April 2006 (UTC).

As with most Pro Wrestling Articles it hard it find info on there outside of wrestling life's unless they have an offical site witch Torrie doesn't. -BionicWilliam 02:30, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism Cleanup / fact check

Someone familiar with the subject should check the article carefully as there's been a number of vandalisms to the page, the obvious has been reverted, but some factual errors could have snuck in - - Stephanie Daugherty (Triona) - Talk - Comment - 07:15, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Torrie Wilson's name

I was asked to "provide a source" by a certain member, as to Torrie's real name. I will in turn ask for that person to provide a source as to Torrie's name. I distinctly read Torrie's name as "Torrie Wilson-Gruner". Obviously I can't source it because the internet is huge and I don't bookmark every single article/page I read/visit, but there is no source for Torrie's name to be Torrie Gruner, only the assumption that she changed her name due to marriage, which is not always the case, particularly in the entertainment industry were people keep their name due to name-value. Torrie is referred to as Torrie Wilson, I have read her name as Torrie Wilson-Gruner, but not once have I ever seen her name as Torrie Gruner. There is no evidence or proof to the contrary, therefore, the information is incorrect and simply a POV. Her name should be Torrie Wilson or Torrie Wilson-Gruner until anyone can proove any differently.

Go to intelius (https://find.intelius.com/people-search.html) or any similiar background website and do a search on Torrie Gruner and you'll find one in Tarpon Springs, FL (a suburb of Tampa) with a Peter Gruner as a relative. The background searches are based on social security numbers which match the actual, legal name.
It says so in WWE's book, "WWE Unscripted". In each wrestler's page, their real name is below their wrestling name.

She is no longer Torrie Gruner as they are now dicorced

SPAM???

Can Yamala please explain how changing a fansite link to an OFFICIAL myspace page link is spam? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.163.100.197 (talkcontribs)

I presume you are talking about me. Please see WP:EL. Additionally, many of the recent edits inserting that link have been removing the one fansite and/or the comment about link spam. --Yamla 20:29, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Why is it okay for the fansite link to be there then? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.163.100.197 (talkcontribs)

Once again, please see WP:EL. Also, please sign your posts. Thanks. --Yamla 20:34, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Although I have no problem with legitimate fansites and official myspace links being listed, apparently some Wikipedia admins do. Please see WP:EL. In the interest of fairness, no fansite should be given preferential treatment over another fansite. However as a Torrie Wilson fan, I do wish to recommend 2 fansites, that are each run exceptionally by dedicated fans, as well as Torrie's official myspace page. The links are listed below and are easy to copy and paste into your browser's address bar.

http://www.torrie-central.net/ http://www.t-wilson.org/ http://myspace.com/torries_space

Thanks, laetnej

there has already been discussion and more discussion on this it was decide only ONE fansite is allowed which would be the most notable and visited site and also the most professional site. in WP:EL on notes 4 and 5 of what can be add, support the addition of the site. I do agree though that official myspace sites should be added as it is an official site but i always get stick for adding it and accuse of vandalism if i do cos certain people on here don't want them on there, so i;ve given up cos you will only get abuse if you add myspace linksLil crazy thing 18:14, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
I realize that it says 1 fansite is allowed, but in the interest of fairness, I do not see why one fansite should be given preference over another fansite. However since Alexa states that the current fansite has more traffic, I will concede your reasoning for it to be the one listed. I do not believe, however, a link to the profile of Torrie's dog, Chloe, should be listed. The dog is mentioned in the article and that is sufficient. Any external links should be directly related to the subject of Torrie Wilson, not Chloe. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Laetnej (talkcontribs) .

In Need Of A Picture

Can someone get a picture? Angli Cado Primoris

We have a picture, but people keep taking it off. WP:FU allows fair use to be used at the top of an article if it is a WWE article, which this is. If you disagree, please link to specific spot on WP:FU, as the page is far too large to go searching for one tiny part. Anakinjmt 16:57, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
This is clearly incorrect. WP:FU explicitly disallows any fair-use image from being used solely to depict a living person, as was the case here. See criteria #1 and counterexample #8 of WP:FU. --Yamla 18:57, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Torrie's image

Wow, who has added such a good-looking image to Torrie's page? Morris Munroe 13:12, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Torrie's height discussion

Is Torrie 5'7" or 5'9"? Her and Candice are said to both be 5'7", but Torrie looks a lot taller next to Candice on TV. Torrie even looks taller than Victoria.

Torrie is 5'10" if seen her stand up to stacy keibler before she IS 5'10"!!!!!! -64.12.116.197 02:52, 22 July 2006 (UTC)Diana
Torrie Wilson is nearly as tall as Stacy Keibler. I don't understand why wwe.com has written that Torrie is 5' 7" in height. There are also many sources who says that Torrie is 5' 9" in height and here are some evidences for her height http://www.lethalwow.com/bios/torrie.htm, http://www.muscletech.com/PROFILES/TORRIE_WILSON/Torrie_Wilson.shtml & http://www.accelerator3359.com/Wrestling/bios/wilson.html. It would be better to add 5' 9" as her peak height. Morris Munroe 15:25, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
No, Torrie is not 5' 7" in height and I've evidences for that because I saw Torrie next to 5' 7" tall Dawn Marie on youtube and Torrie was an inch or two inches taller than Marie. I guess that 5' 8" or 5' 8½" or even 5' 9" could estimate Torrie's height. I don't wish to change Torrie's height completely to 5' 9" in the main page because I'd vandalize this page, so I've added Torrie's peak height as 5' 9" but if you want to hear my opinion, Torrie is never 5' 7" in height because she is over 5' 7" and this should be changed in wwe.com. Morris Munroe 20:51, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia does not permit original research. If you cannot find a more reliable citation for the 5'9, please do not add it. --Yamla 21:42, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
i know that for a fact Kari2MuchFan 21:14, 16 January 2007 (UTC)Kari2MuchFan
This is irrelevant unless you can verify this information using a reliable source. Please read WP:CITE on how to cite your claims. --Yamla 21:39, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
I know that this page needs a reliable source but I also think that Torrie is 5' 8" in height because there are sources which say that Torrie is 5' 7" and other sources show Torrie's height as 5' 9". So 5' 8" is in the middle. Morris Munroe 20:31, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but we don't compromise like that. --Yamla 20:51, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
I know that but I think that wwe.com is mistaken in that case. Morris Munroe 08:35, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Look at this image. Torrie is never four inches shorter that Stacy Keibler. 5' 8" is her real height and I'm gonna change it. No further discussions. wwe.com is definitely mistaken. MM 17:22, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Unecessary revisions

Can anyone shed some light as to why the latest revision to a version MANY edits back was performed? 207.16.198.77 (Talk) (Reverted numerous edits to last version by Yamla) I saw no reason for this drastic of an edit, and it seems this user has a history of simply performing reverts. The difference between the version of the article before the revert and the current one is quite drastic and I feel that the article is less informative and worse for it. Other than the height change back and forth from 5'7" to 5'9" there were plenty of valuable (albeit mostly small) additions.

If anyone else disagrees please respond, otherwise I will undo this completely uncalled-for and unnecessary revert. --JohnDoe0007 19:16, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Okay...it's been a few days and no one has responded. Since quite a few worth-while edits have been made since the unecessary revert, I'm simply going to add the content that was lost when the revert was performed. --JohnDoe0007 07:30, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
