Talk:Tour de Georgia

The article starts out: "Tour de Georgia is ranked as a Hors Classe (2.HC) event by the UCI [...] making it North America's highest rated professional cycling stage race." This is misleading because the Tour of California is also ranked 2.HC and is arguably more popular, attracting more renown cyclists. scotts 17:51, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Defunct?[edit]

I've updated this a little, but the only source I can find that even mentions the race post-2010 is www.examiner.com/cycling-in-atlanta/dan-schoolfield, which is blocked by the spam blacklist. Are there any better sources out there? Interplanet Janet (talk) 16:23, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This news item, which is cited in the article, says the tour was cancelled for 2010. The event doesn't appear in cyclingnews' calendar for 2011 or 2012. I think it's fair to assume that the event hasn't been held since 2008 and is essentially defunct. --Wikitoov (talk) 02:29, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
