Talk:Transformers: Movie Prequel
Comment
[edit]Should there by any mention of the "other" movie prequel, the novel Ghosts of Yesterday, by Alan Dean Foster?
Doubt it, as this is the page about the IDW comic. Speaking of which, how sure are we that the Movie Prequel TPB and Movie Adaptation TPB are out on the same day? Amazon have a bad habit of shunting any Transformers releases to the 25th of each month. Also, IDW's June solicits mention nothing about it. [1].SMegatron 10:24, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Frenzy?
[edit]According to whoever editing the Issue 3 section, the third 'con on Mars is Frenzy, after Starscream and Blackout. No way is this Frenzy. I'm not too sure who it is but Frenzy's supposed to be human sized, Scorpinoc is about two humans long, and is supposed to be contained in Blackout. However the third one is no where near small enough to be Frenzy. I think it could be Barricade or Brawl, who i have seen the least pictures of. If someone could confirm this that would be great. In all honesty, Im pretty sure its Frenzy (until the next issue says otherwise). The prequel novel Ghosts of Yesterday notes during the battle scenes that while hes smaller than the other Decepticons, he's still large enough to battle the likes of Jazz and Prime, indicating that his pre-Earth mode was bigger than what we see in the film. Also, with the exception of Scorponok, the other Decepticons described thus far are all generally apparently in the 20-30 ft range, so I don't see who else it could be. Still, Ive been wrong before. Hope that helps.SMegatron 19:10, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Looking at photo's on the net of Barricade and Frenzy, it is quite obviously Barricade with a slightly different face, maybe his battle-mask. Frenzy not only doesn't look like this unnamed transformer facially or bodily, but also they said there would be NO size changing, including pre-earth to Earth modes. The way I see it from leaked info, Frenzy is a drone, he was before Earth, and he will be until a possible upgrade. And even though he may be able to battle full sized 'bots that doesnt mean he has to be their size. The trailers show he is definatly a very small robot, maybe that's why he could match Jazz. Also Jazz is supposedly the smallest 'bot in the film. Justice san 19:30, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
You're probably right: however, Im still stumped as to who else it could be (Barricade I recognise because his Cybertronian mode is similar to the pics of the Earth mode weve see so far). If i could suggest something, according to Chris Ryall on the IDW site, the last issue of the Movie Prequel will be out on May 2. As it looks like the Decepticons will be heavily involved in that, shall we just leave it as "possibly Frenzy" until then?SMegatron 13:14, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Actually, a couple of pictures of Barricade's Earth mode have been released, and it does look like him.SMegatron 12:41, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
The release of the 4th issue concludes that it is defiantly Barricade as Starscream refers to him by name. 86.137.195.221 15:25, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Someone should clarify the year of the Camaro being used for the new movie. The Movie Prequel page states that it's a 1976 but the page describing Bumblebee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumblebee_(Transformers)) claims it's a 1977.
Article title
[edit]I have the comic book and it's called "Transformers: Movie Prequal", there is no "The" in the title. Anyone mind if I correct this? user:mathewignash
Kremzeek?
[edit]"In issue 4, you will notice a cameo appearance from G1 Transformers electric imp, Kremzeek, sitting as a statue on Sam Witwicky's desk at the end of the issue." What page is that supposed to be on? I can't find it.
