TratexVit / Tratexposversal
[edit]What are the differents between TratexVit / TratexPosversal?CarR (talk) 09:41, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know if the actual letters are different, but the reason for four variants is because they were used in different settings. "Svart" is black and "Vit" is intended as a white typeface. On reflective materials the white features produce a glare and white characters needs to be set wider apart (possibly using slightly different weight too). "VERSAL" is all-caps fonts (again in two variants for light or dark text) and while those may be the same characters as appearing in "Svart" I assume that character spacing is the main difference. Date when founded
[edit]I still do not know when "Tratex" have been typeface since? Do not know what year "Tratex" typeface introduced? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.100.126.6 (talk • contribs) 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- There's currently no information on that on Wp. A primary-ish source says it was probably designed in the 1960's by Kåge. Others adjusted it in the 70's (to adapt for better readability on reflective signs) and later converted into truetype fonts. JAGulin (talk) 16:05, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
