Semi Protection
[edit]I think it's time to semi protect the page. Can someone do it please?
- Yeah, someone has to do that. Jc86035 (talk • contributions) 10:15, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Repeated incorrect changes to the list of songs
[edit]This article is currently semi-protected as the list of songs has been repeatedly changed to an incorrect, presumably made-up version, for over a year. In actuality, the song "Young and Beautiful" was #7 and "Lanterns" was #22, but the edits switch those 2 around, and replace some of the lower songs with ones that weren't actually in the top 100 (for example "Oh Sailor", "When I Was Young" and "Blood on the Leaves"). You can see an example of these edits here, and the correct list on Triple J's official site here. Exallonyx (talk) 03:41, 2 February 2020 (UTC)

Birds of Tokyo's 'Lanterns' (actually #7) and Lana Del Rey's 'Young and Beautiful' (actually #22) have swapped around from their original order. Further down the list, some songs have been omitted and replaced by songs that didn't even make the Hottest 100. This includes Bliss n Eso's 'Act Your Age' (actually #113 - replaced at #67), Something for Kate's Like a Version cover of 'Sweet Nothing' (actually #118 - replaced at #68), The Jezabels' 'The End' (actually #103 - replaced at #83), British India's 'Summer Forgive Me' (actually #104 - replaced at #84), Remi's Sangria (actually #105 - replaced at #85), John Butler Trio's 'Only One' (actually #109 - replaced at #87), Josh Pyke's 'Leeward Side' (actually #111 - replaced at #88), Bliss n Eso's 'House of Dreams' (actually #114 - replaced at #94) and Big Scary's 'Luck Now' (actually #101 - replaced at #96).
The omitted songs include: Jake Bugg 'What Doesn't Kill You' (placed 67th) Arctic Monkeys 'One for the Road' (placed 68th) The Naked and Famous 'Hearts Like Ours' (placed 83rd) Kanye West 'Blood on the Leaves' (placed 84th) Flux Pavilion 'Do or Die' featuring Childish Gambino (placed 85th) Cold War Kids 'Miracle Mile' (placed 87th) Grouplove 'Borderlines and Aliens' (placed 88th) Blink-182 'When I Was Young' (placed 94th) Mr Little Jeans 'Oh Sailor' featuring The Silverlake Conservatory of Music Youth Chorale (placed 96th) 122.111.44.57 (talk) 07:36, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
- @122.111.44.57: Hi, where are you getting this data from? It's completely inconsistent with that on triple j's official site and the unofficial Hottest 100 database site, and I know those sites match what was broadcast on the day in January 2014. Is there some other website showing your version? Exallonyx (talk) 12:03, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- Not done: no answer given after 2 weeks (ironically so when the user was always very fast to make these edits before the page was semi-protected). Exallonyx (talk) 23:05, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
