1968 third-placed team
[edit]Can someone correct the name of the 1968 third-placed team? There is no Brazilian team named Atletico Rio. --Carioca 01:17, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, I just took the data from the Spanish one. Perhaps there was a club that folded? matt91486 01:18, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for answering my question. It can be possible, but I am not aware of any club that folded named Atlético Rio. Maybe it is just Atlético Rio Negro Clube incorrectly named (but I found nothing indicating that the club competed in the Trofeo Colombino in 1968). --Carioca 01:26, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think there's a reasonable shot that's the case. I know of no way of checking into this outside of contacting Recre itself, since Recre's club website isn't particularly easy to find stuff on. matt91486 08:34, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Recreativo's official website name the team as Atco. de Rio (Atletico de Rio), check this link, so maybe even them don't know the club's correct name. --Carioca 22:38, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Unique trophy shape
[edit]There's no info about the trophy being shaped like a ship, which is a great injustice to how special the trophy (and thus this article!) is. I don't know the origin but given Recreativo's important history I'm guessing it's related to the British ship trade route. --Sarnobat (talk) 21:05, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
