Green Welly
[edit]I just added the Gazetteer link and see that there are some POV's flagged in the links. My thoughts;
- Is there a citation that justifies the Green Welly Shop as the 'principle attraction' of the village. This looks like a POV statement
- The Real Food Cafe and Strathfillan House......are these advertisements?
(Berjangles 11:04, 3 July 2007 (UTC))
- The Green Welly is the most prominent place in the village so it seems reasonable to include though it does open up the discussion about whether other places should also be included. The Real Food Cafe did get an award last year (?) so perhaps a mention. (Some might say that the Green Welly is the ONLy attraction in the village! The large hotel is owned by a coach tour company and only used by them) --jmb 11:21, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Roads
[edit]- This is a legacy of the history of the railways in the area, after two separate railways belonging to different railway companies were built through the village. Roads mirror this division: the A82 passes through Tyndrum between Glasgow and Fort William, whilst the A85 to Oban splits off just north of the village.
- Don't forget that the alignment of the roads has changed, if you look on earlier OS maps the road to Oban went straight through Tyndrum, you turned right through Clifton to go to Fort William. --jmb (talk) 11:20, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
