Script errors

[edit]

Does anyone else get script errors on this page? "The time allocated for running scripts has expired" shows up a lot on this page for me and I haven't figured out why. I tried to edit the page almost 2 months ago to see if there would be an immediate fix and once I did edit the page the error went away. Now they keep reappearing, I cannot see the infobox, the mile log (major intersections), or reference list sections. JayJayWhat did I do? 02:22, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JayJay, I see exactly the same problems. It seems to be related to the "map" property in the infobox. I commented this out and the errors "seem" to go away, but as you said this might just be a temporary fix. I am wondering if the map data is just too large to load? Wikipedia:Map data/Wikipedia KML/U.S. Route 61 in Minnesota does seem quite large. Gricharduk (talk) 02:49, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Gricharduk: the map itself works if it's not in the infobox, so I don't think it's just that. Imzadi 1979  03:23, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Map

Or, it did in the preview of my last edit before saving. Imzadi 1979  03:27, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Imzadi1979: Ah okay - that is a very good idea! I tried the same and got the timeout error again - very weird! Gricharduk (talk) 03:35, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm seeing the script error on this page when it is standalone so I'm thinking that might be why. It's odd because other articles that have maps have similar sizes as this one does but they do not have any errors. JayJayWhat did I do? 04:28, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I reduced the size of the Wikipedia:Map data/Wikipedia KML/U.S. Route 61 in Minnesota by about 10KB. It seems like once these pages get to 75KB we start seeing script errors, but it depends on the article. –Fredddie

Near Minneapolis

[edit]

HWY 61 isn't near Minneapolis, Mn at all so I 'm not sure why you reference it instead of Saint Paul,Mn? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:6c44:35f0:9030:f8b8:9b77:e26b:4387 (talk) 16:43, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Minneapolis is only mentioned twice in this article: once in reference to the cause of stricter bridge inspections, and once in the junction list as a destination for I-35 south. I'm not seeing an issue here. --Sable232 (talk) 16:54, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
