Article Evaluation
[edit]This article is very short, no more than a paragraph in length. It is a very brief summary of the accomplishments and life of Udayin and nothing more. It could use information in a lot of areas such as personal history, family history, political movements, motivations, other accomplishments etc. It is very possible that there is not an abundance of written text on Udayin and that may cause a shortage of information. The two citations have active links, are credible, relevant to the topic, and are neutral in nature. The citations support the claims in the article, and the sources may even give some deeper knowledge that could be added to the article. In the Talk page there is a link to a book on Jainism under “reference suggestion” with the caption “page 41” which does contain some information on the topic not expressed in the article. There is no other information on this Talk page. There is really no bias in this article since there really isn't much information present.
This article is rated “stub-class” and is apart of two projects, Wikiproject Jainism and Wikiproject India/History. It lacks anything more than a brief understanding of who Udayin is, and gives no deeper content than a simple summary. This article needs a great amount of work. The most important need of this article is research. There needs to be more neutral information from primary and secondary sources. Additionally, this article could use a structure for people to include more information, since there is currently only one section. Colekepler (talk) 02:59, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
Article Suggestions
[edit]This article needs more information and an actual structure. A collection of sources that could be used to expand upon the text would be helpful. Additionally, this article needs to be broken up in to sections to expand upon the information in more detail. Obviously, this article needs a lot of work but gathering a collection of sources and formatting the article may be a great first step Colekepler (talk) 23:01, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
