This article is about University High School and should not be deleted because it is merely providing information on the school, as are the other high school Wikipedia articles. If there are specific changes that need to be implemented, I would be happy to do so.
- Read the tag - the entire article reads as an advert. Ironholds (talk) 03:20, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Right- but it's not supposed to be at all- it's only supposed to give information. How can I change it so it doesn't come off like that?
- It reads like a brochure because every phrase seems to be glowing with praise. "They are very good at this thing, and they are also very good at this thing. Here are a few people I will tell anecdotes about." Every school has a phys-ed program, the Multicultural section is PURE sales pitch, what encyclopedia user would care what clubs are available... It is possible this article should have had a neutrality flag instead of a delete flag added, but in order to meet the neutrality requirements, I suspect this article would need to be cut to a quarter of its current length, possibly less. Deletion and starting over is probably the faster choice. The Early College Model section could probably be salvaged, but it would need to be reworded throughout. Right- could I move it to the user page section and have people comment on it there?
There is a copy at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Shhough/University_High_School_of_Science_and_Engineering. If you need to delete this page then you can, or leave it until I scrounge up a better version from the criticism in the user talk area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shhough (talk • contribs) 03:36, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
So you know, there are other high school articles where they list things like clubs or all AP courses available. Couldn't you say "Who cares about that?" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shhough (talk • contribs) 03:43, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- We could, and I'd be happy to remove that sort of stuff if you point it out to me, but that doesn't change the nature of this article. Ironholds (talk) 03:48, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
