Note: Though it states in the Guide to writing better articles that generally fictional articles should be written in present tense, all Tolkien legendarium-related articles that cover in-universe material before the current action must be written in past tense. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Middle-earth/Standards for more information about this and other article standards.
I have removed the {{prod}} tag which proposed that this article be deleted, because I think that this article has merit and so should not be deleted from Wikipedia. I'm leaving this message here as notification. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article as that process is only to be used when there is no opposition. I am not sure how folks feel about the 'notes' interspersed within the synopsis. I put them in because I thought they were useful, especially as Valaquenta is otherwise one of the more 'biblical' stories - along with the discussions of land and language, it can give some readers the 'leviticus-numbers' heebee jeebees. The notes seek to aid the reader in connecting Valaquenta and its contents with the larger, better known episodes of Middle-earth history. At any rate, I am interested to see what others think. For the most part, it's useful information, although it should be integrated more smoothly into the rest of the article. I'll see what I can do when I have more time. --DachannienTalkContrib06:24, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
